Part of the Experimental Painting Collection, Afterglow marks Day 3 of a 10-day exploration into abstract oil painting.

This piece explores a softer, warmer palette, with tones of yellow, blush and muted pink blending to create a calm, atmospheric glow. The composition is subtly reversed, with cloud forms sitting lower and light building above, giving a sense of openness and quiet stillness.

Layered oil paint creates gentle transitions in tone, allowing the work to shift in feeling depending on the light and space around it.
